Is Palm OS becoming irrelevant?
November 18, 2007 by Carlos Eduardo · Leave a Comment

We all know that Palm has been running behind on innovation, and that we’re all looking forward to the next version of their OS. Garnet has become quite long in the tooth, and their devices no longer inspire gadget-lust like they once did. Most of their new stuff is not towards the lower end of things, and now other devices are starting to have emulators for the OS, something previously unheard of in the mobile world because of the pace of platform development.
Below, are both of the emulators available (or soon to be):
The N800/N810 Nokia tablets have an emulator here.
and
Series 60 Devices now have an emulator here courtesy of Styletap.
These emulators will essentially allow people with non-Palm OS devices to run all the killer Palm OS apps. I wonder what will motivate people to stick with this OS anymore if they can run all their apps on a more powerful and perhaps nicer device… only time will tell.
