Plantronics M3000 Bluetooth Headset : 11/30/2003
By Carlos E.
As far as Bluetooth headsets are concerned, the M3000 is the best. Flat out. It is well worth the $70 some dollars I paid on Amazon.
The best features? Awesome connection, headset + handsfree profile, AWESOME battery life, and relatively small.
I mean, a headset is, and should be, a relatively simple device. It should not be something you worry about. The M3000 manages to play nicely with old and new phones, and does it well, with good sound quality, and with good battery life.
I could walk around most of my apartment, between walls, and the signal was better than could be expected with the amount of attentuation that was affecting the signal. The battery life would last so long that I'd forget to charge it, and it would die on me 4 days later and several LONG conversations later. That's how long it lasts. You forget to charge it!
Sound quality is imperceivable from being on the handset. People would not be able to tell that I was on a headset. This amazed me because of all the 2.4Ghz RF pollution that I have in my apartment. Only once did someone say that they sounded like they were on speaker phone, but that was it.
The only disadvantage of the M3000 is that the ear loop isn't quite comfortable, but with a little bit of maneuvering, you can find a comfy spot.
Shop around and you can find them for prices in the $70 range, for on their site it's selling for $120 +.
Some really neat features that the headset has, depending on what type of Bluetooth profile you use, is the ability to redial, and deny calls just from the headset, as well as the usual voice dialling.
10/10
